FAQ
- 01Primarily we teach 8-count Lindy Hop, 6-count East Coast Swing, and Charleston. Occasionally , we do other styles of swing dance such as Collegiate Shag, Balboa, or Solo Jazz. Our Elective class may even teach a routine for upcoming events!
- 02No partner is required for any of the classes or social dancing. In class, we will have students rotate partners every so often. During social dancing, you can ask other dancers to dance! It's always nice to have friends you know when you visit us but it's an option!
- 03It can get pretty sweaty while you dance so a change of shirts is always a good idea. We would also recommend bringing a water bottle and a small cloth.
- 04You can wear any shoe that you feel is comfortable. Tennis shoes or sneakers work just fine! Anything with a flat sole is perfect. If you feel inclined, you can try out Keds shoes (we're not sponsored) or shoes with leather soles. If there were shoes we would recommend against, try not to wear sandals, or slippers, or high heels.
- 05We do not serve any food at our venue. We may have pre-packaged food served during some of our special events (live band, Halloween, Holiday, etc). We do have bottles of water for sale at the front desk.
- 06Yes! You can bring food to eat; especially if you're celebrating a birthday, anniversary, etc. We only ask that you make sure to clean up and throw away any waste into the waste bins. If you don't see a waste bin close by, please let the staff know and we can bring it to you and your party.
- 07We suggest street parking along Euclid Avenue or Cordova Street. Street parking is free after 06:00pm even at the meters. Do not park in in any red zones. Parking garages are available around us and prices range from ~$8.00 - $12.00 from what we have researched as of 2026-03.
